An archangel from the future, collecting the eighteen fragments of a dead man’s soul — and being overwritten a little with every jump.
Canon Uriel stays in Heaven and never falls. Urieru throws her own consciousness backwards through time on a rescue mission, climbs nine ranks doing it, and ends as something Canon has no category for: the Kami of Time.
Debaditya Malakar — a human scholar, a direct descendant of Seth, and the Prophet — had his soul shattered across time. Urieru sent her consciousness into the past and across timelines to gather every fragment, rebuild him, and undo his death.
There are eighteen fragments, and the Divine Parasite wants them first. That is the external problem, and it is the easy one.
The real problem is internal. Every jump retroactively overwrites a little of her. She is losing pieces of herself as she gains power — including her memories of him. She is climbing toward godhood and forgetting why she started.
images/variants/kami-of-time/ and they belong here.
The palette below is already live across this whole page.
Fierce, determined, protective, secretly soft — a warrior broken and rebuilt a thousand times. She is tired. She refuses to stop.
Not the Parasite. Not the Holy War. Losing herself — becoming something that is not her any more, and not noticing it happen.
Brilliant, curious, deeply sarcastic. He uses humour to survive a destiny far too large for him, and refuses to let the cosmos change who he is. He doubts himself constantly — why me? — and is far too willing to die for other people. He carries his bloodline as a burden rather than a gift.
Seth was the third son of Adam and Eve, the chosen replacement for Abel, and the father of the righteous line: Enosh, Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch who walked with God, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah — then Shem, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Judah, David, and on into a diaspora that scattered and forgot itself.
Debaditya is the latest descendant. The Prophet gene has been dormant for centuries; he is the first in all that time to manifest it.
When it touched him, the mortal poison inside it met the holy blood inside him, and the two repelled each other. Not fire. Incompatibility.
The force of that repulsion tore him apart — his soul, his mind, his self — into a thousand pieces, scattered across time.
Each fragment is a potential Prophet — a piece of his divine potential living out a different life in a different timeline. The power is not a reward for the quest. It is the quest: she gets stronger by getting him back.
Before she becomes the Supreme Seraph, Urieru faces a moral choice. Both roads end the same way — she saves him, she ascends, they get forever. What changes is the flavour of that happiness.
Alignment: order, justice, divine will.
Power: divine light, Heaven’s authority.
Look: wings burning white-gold, radiant aura.
“I will save him because it is right.”
She reforms Heaven from within. She is a redeemer.
Alignment: freedom, rebellion, self-determination.
Power: fallen grace, Hell’s fire.
Look: wings darkened to obsidian, edged with crimson flame.
“I will save him because he is mine.”
She rejects Heaven and builds a sanctuary for the free.
She collects all eighteen, rebuilds his soul, and ascends — past the angelic ranks entirely, into the embodiment of temporal order. She can see, shape and protect every timeline. She is eternal.
She does not need wings any more. She could dismiss them and become formless, abstract, infinite.
She keeps them.
They get a cottage — a small pocket of reality outside of time. He is the Prophet, bridging Heaven and Earth. She is the Kami of Time, protecting the timelines. They have eternity, and they choose to spend it together.
“Love is not a weakness. It is the most powerful force in the universe.”
Paedorium → Archangels → Cherubim → Dominions →
Thrones → Seraphims. This AU runs ten steps, with Virtue and Supreme Seraph
in it and a tier above the top. Two different systems. They are not meant to reconcile.
The Holy War — Heaven led by the Archangels, Hell led by the Fallen, fought over the right to define reality. It never ended; a truce was declared after the Rift, which is not the same thing. The cost: millions of souls, shattered timelines, and one dead Prophet.
